XRS4
The XRS4, launched by Golden Engineering in 2010, stands out as a 370kV battery-powered pulsed X-ray generator tailored for security and light industrial applications. Crafted for enhanced penetrating ability, it boasts a streamlined single-package design incorporating a DeWalt battery pack, high voltage head, sturdy glass tube, and user-friendly electronic controls. Noteworthy features unique to the XRS4 include a robust aluminum housing and a handle bellows, contributing to its exceptional durability.
In 2015, a significant upgrade to the electronics control module introduced a user-friendly menu-based design, revolutionising operator interface capabilities. This allows operators to effortlessly adjust the pulse rate, establish multiple pulse trains with appropriate rests, and monitor the machine’s overall lifespan.
Further enhancements came in 2018 with a modular housing redesign, now powered by a DeWalt 20V battery. Equipped with an 80-character LCD and expanded menu options, the XRS4, though larger and heavier compared to other Golden Engineering generators at just under 10 kilograms, maintains impressive portability. The 370kV generator pierces through over 1.5 inches of steel, setting a benchmark in the industry for extreme versatility and performance.
The XRS-4 has the same concept as other models with a single package design that includes a DeWalt battery pack, high voltage head, sturdy glass tube, and electronic controls.
