AP2 / AP5 Series Alpha Scintillation Probes Description
The Thermo Scientific AP2 and AP5 Series Alpha Scintillation Probes are designed for the detection and location of alpha contamination in radiation protection and contamination monitoring applications. Using proven zinc sulphide alpha scintillator technology, the probes provide sensitive and reliable detection of alpha-emitting contamination.
The AP2 Series features a 50 cm² square detection window and an angled design that is particularly convenient for monitoring hands, feet, clothing and other surfaces. The AP5 Series provides a larger 100 cm² rectangular window, allowing greater surface coverage during routine contamination surveys.
Both ranges are designed for practical field use, with lightweight construction and field-replaceable radiation windows. Ruggedised versions are also available for more demanding operational
