BP19A & BP19BD Beta Probes Description
The Thermo Scientific BP19A / IBP19BD Beta Probes are designed for general-purpose beta contamination monitoring across low, medium and high beta energies. Their large 100 cm² rectangular detection window provides efficient coverage of surfaces, making them particularly suitable for routine contamination surveys where larger areas need to be checked quickly.
The probes use a large scintillation detector with BC400 plastic phosphor housed within a lightweight alloy die-cast enclosure. The design provides high sensitivity while maintaining a slim profile and relatively low weight, making the probe practical for regular handheld survey work.
The IBP19BD is an intelligent version designed for use with compatible Thermo Scientific rate meters, providing a flexible solution for radiation protection and contamination monitoring applications.
