Gardu Automatic Windout Description
GardU is a fully automated gamma radiography drive system designed to provide precise and repeatable control of source exposure while helping operators maintain greater distance from the exposure device. Suitable for both fixed exposure bays and portable site radiography, the system combines Siemens HMI and PLC control with automated exposure sequencing, visual source position indication and fail-to-safe operation. An optional remote control unit allows the system to be operated from an increased distance, supporting ALARP principles during industrial radiography operations.
That is supported by the original material: the system can operate with current isotope projectors, can be used in an exposure bay or taken on site, and was designed to improve control over personal radiation exposure while providing more accurate, repeatable exposures and source-position certainty.
