HTSL 989 Actuator Description

The HTSL 989 Actuator is designed for use with the Sentinel 989 Exposure Device and an air pump box, providing reliable failsafe operation for industrial radiography applications.

Precision engineered from stainless steel for durability, the actuator attaches to the “Baby” SCAR device using the source rod connector and is secured using its integral locking ring. A quick-disconnect connection allows the air line from the pump box to be easily connected, ready for pneumatic operation.

Following an exposure, the actuator automatically returns the source to its stored position. Importantly, if the air supply is interrupted during an exposure, the actuator is designed to return the source automatically to the safe position, providing an additional failsafe feature during operation.
