Rod Sources Description
Each Rod Source consists of a lucite rod available in either R2 (5" × 0.5" / 127 mm × 12.7 mm) or R3 (2.95" × 0.5" / 74.9 mm × 12.7 mm) formats. The radioactive material is contained within a 0.187" × 0.187" (4.75 mm × 4.75 mm) well, positioned approximately 0.250" (6.35 mm) from the top of the rod. Standard source sets include Ba-133, Cs-137, Co-57, Co-60, Cd-109, Mn-54, and Na-22, providing a versatile range of radionuclides for calibration and testing applications. All sources are calibrated as NIST traceable with an accuracy of ±5% at the 99% confidence level.Typical Applications
