The ExitScan-2 Personnel Exit Monitor provides comprehensive whole-body contamination monitoring for personnel exiting radiologically controlled areas.
Designed to detect alpha, beta and gamma-emitting radionuclides, the system uses gas-less scintillation detectors positioned to provide extensive coverage of the body, including the front and back, hands, feet, arms and legs. This makes the ExitScan-2 particularly suited to facilities where reliable personnel release monitoring is critical.
Advanced dynamic measurement algorithms optimise counting times according to background conditions, helping to achieve high detection performance while maintaining efficient personnel throughput. Tight detector geometry further enhances sensitivity, particularly when monitoring for alpha contamination.
The system guides personnel through the monitoring process using clear displays and voice prompts, while configurable measurement presets allow parameters such as alarm levels, radionuclides and measurement units to be adapted to individual site requirements.
With user identification, network connectivity and a wide range of configurations and accessories available, the ExitScan-2 can be integrated into wider radiation protection and access-control arrangements across nuclear and industrial facilities.
